ITOnline's AMR Deployment & Management System (ADMS) is designed to manage
the process of installing, maintaining, collecting & processing AMR/AMI hardware
and data. ADMS is made up of a number of integrated CASYS modules
to provide a comprehensive AMR management system that helps avoid the pitfalls of deploying,
maintaining and managing AMR projects and potentially future proofs AMR systems. See The AMR Challenge

System Functionality
The system functionality, like all CASYS applications, can either be an 'off the
shelf' system, or designed and easily modified specifically for user requirements, to ensure a
seamless process from concept to billing.
Basic functionality includes:
- Tools for planning and deployment:
- Infrastructure auditing.
- Installation planning.
- Meter replacement.
- AMR installation.
- Tools for ongoing tasks include:
- AMR/AMI data management.
- Check/audit read system.
- System monitoring.
- Perform and track maintenance tasks.
- Interfaces with billing and other systems.
Note: These can be single standalone modules for in house and/or contract staff, or as an
integrated management system,
with role defined access for in house staff and contractors.
System Features
ADMS provides an number of features to simplify processes and minimise time
consuming and costly errors of deploying and maintaining potentially complex
projects.
System features include:
- Multiple data interfaces for importing and exporting customer, property and
asset information
- Android Apps for field tasks such as installations, manual reads and audits,
which also provide:
- Real tme updates for supervisors.
- Photos to prevent repeat work through correction of errors.
- GPS locations for planning, reports, maps and relocation.
- Barcode scanners to simplify data entry and prevent errors.
- Monitors for supervisors and data management.
- Reporting tools.
AMR Data Management
ADMS can import/export data from a number sources including; most AMR devices,
billing, SCADA and conventional meter reading data. This provides a powerful and
efficient management tool, including greater analysis for tasks such as consumption
monitoring, leak detection, fleet management and also provides a single billing
interface for all AMR data.
AMR Hardware Options
AMR technology is evolving rapidly with advances in RF, WiFi, Bluetooth and solutions for cellular networks.
ADMR is not restricted to a single hardware option, allowing you to select the best available technology, or
combinations of technology, to suit your needs.
ADMR allows you, where possible, to utilise
existing hardware and more importantly to integrate a range of hardware options,
meaning that you are to able integrate existing legacy systems and build upon your network with the best and latest
technology available and manage it through a single management system.
AMR Deployment Process
Deploying and maintaining and AMR project requires a number of
processes, the process below is a typical ADMR scenario.
- An inital audit of existing meters, (which could be conducted as part of the
meter reading process), where meters read; read, photographed and GPS located.
- Replace any non compatible meters using the Meter Maintenance module to eliminate potential installation errors with the use of barcode scanning and photos.
- AMR devices are installed using the installation module which also utilises barcodes and photos
- Commission and monitor AMR fleet
- Data collection and perform ongoing management tasks
ADMR has been designed to accommodate multiple processes with the flexibility to
adapt to site specific requirements that can also evolve long term with projects demands.
